Lung cancer
Lung cancer is one of the most common and most dangerous forms of cancer worldwide. However, advances in early detection, molecular diagnostics and multimodal therapy have opened up new perspectives in recent years
At the Vienna International Center for Thoracic Oncology (VICTO) of the Vienna Private Hospital, we offer state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the entire spectrum of thoracic tumor diseases – including lung cancer, pleural mesothelioma, thymus tumors, esophageal carcinomas and thoracic wall tumors.
The focus is on an individually tailored therapy concept – developed by an interdisciplinary team of experts from thoracic surgery, oncology, radiotherapy and radiology. Thanks to state-of-the-art imaging (e.g. PET/CT, MRI), molecular biology analyses and precise surgical procedures, we can optimally tailor diagnostics and therapy to the respective disease.
Depending on the stage, the treatment spectrum ranges from minimally invasive surgery and targeted immunotherapies to multimodal strategies with preoperative systemic therapy. Patients benefit from short paths, closely networked expertise and personal care at the highest level.
“At VICTO, we combine surgical precision with state-of-the-art oncology – and enable patients to receive the best possible care for thoracic tumour diseases through individualized treatment concepts.”
